VesselTwin Recipient Terms

You are about to view information shared with you by a VesselTwin user (the Owner) through a time-limited, token-protected link (the Shared Content). You may be the Owner's vendor, contractor, surveyor, broker, prospective buyer, or any other party the Owner chose to give access. By continuing past this page, you (the Recipient) agree to these terms.

1. Permitted use

You may use the Shared Content only for the specific purpose the Owner shared it with you for — typically responding to a request for an estimate, performing the work, or evaluating a boat for purchase. You may not use it for any other purpose without the Owner's separate written permission.

2. No redistribution

The link, attachments, photos, documents, measurements, and any other content behind this link are private to the Owner. Do not forward the link, republish the content, resell it, or share it with anyone outside your team who needs it to do the work. Each additional person you bring in is bound by these terms.

3. Confidentiality

Treat the Owner's vessel details — including hull identification number, registration, marina location, photos, measurements, and maintenance history — as confidential. Don't post them publicly, share them on social media, or include them in marketing materials.

4. No scraping, no AI training

You may not scrape, mass-download, index, or use automated tools to ingest the Shared Content, and you may not use it to train, fine-tune, or augment any AI/ML model.

5. Accuracy disclaimer

The Shared Content reflects what the Owner recorded in VesselTwin and may have been extracted from documents by AI. VesselTwin does not verify accuracy. If you intend to rely on a specification for maintenance, safety, fitment, or compliance decisions, verify it against the original manufacturer documentation or a physical inspection.

6. No vendor account, no platform liability

VesselTwin is a platform that lets owners record and share their own data. We are not a party to the underlying arrangement between you and the Owner. VesselTwin makes no representations about the Owner, their boat, or the accuracy of what they shared. VesselTwin's liability to you for any access through this link is limited to USD 100.

7. Link lifetime, revocation

Shared links expire automatically (no later than 30 days from creation) and can be revoked by the Owner at any time. After expiry or revocation the link will return a 410 response and the Shared Content will no longer be accessible.

8. Logging and audit

We log your acceptance of these terms (your IP address, user agent, and timestamp), the times you open the link, comments you post, and files you upload. Owners can see these interactions; we use them to detect abuse and meet our security obligations.

9. Termination

We may revoke your access at any time if you breach these terms. Owners can revoke their share link without notice.
