This is controlled early access. Request setup from Settings → AI connectors. We'll confirm access and send the exact connection details for the provider you choose. Don't reuse another person's OAuth details or register a different client unless your VesselTwin confirmation explicitly says to.

  1. 1After VesselTwin confirms access, open ChatGPT Settings → Security and login and enable Developer mode if your workspace allows it.
  2. 2Open Settings → Plugins (or chatgpt.com/plugins), create the VesselTwin app, and use the server details in your setup confirmation.
  3. 3Complete VesselTwin sign-in and review the read-only authorization screen.
  4. 4Start a new chat, choose + → More, and select VesselTwin.

A ChatGPT workspace administrator can restrict Developer mode or custom apps.

OpenAI setup instructions

Claude

Available with the complete Owner Pro connector.

  1. 1After VesselTwin confirms access, open Claude Customize → Connectors.
  2. 2Choose + → Add custom connector and use the connection details in your setup confirmation.
  3. 3Complete VesselTwin sign-in and review the read-only authorization screen.
  4. 4In a chat, choose + → Connectors and enable VesselTwin for that conversation.

On Team or Enterprise, an organization owner must add the connector before members can connect it.

Claude connector instructions

What the connector can access

  • Only boat records your VesselTwin account can already access.
  • Selected, sanitized metadata from the connector allowlist.
  • No HIN, registration, exact location, document contents, notes, photos, vendor details, or costs.
  • No create, edit, upload, delete, or other write tools.

You can disconnect VesselTwin from the provider's connector settings at any time. Removing the connection revokes that provider's future access.

Can't see the provider controls?

ChatGPT and Claude can hide custom connectors when a workspace administrator has not enabled them. Confirm you are using the same provider account named in your setup request, then check the official provider instructions above. If the control is still missing, contact VesselTwin support.
